Certified Dog Trainer | Private Lesson Instructor | Group Class Instructor
John’s connection and love for dogs started when he was a kid, and is still undeniable today. After moving from New York to Philadelphia, he began volunteering at a shelter who only took in high-risk animals. It was there where he met and adopted his dog Ruby, who was a puppy at the time.
A short while later, he followed his true passion and gained his training experience at a local facility in the city. It was there where he taught private and group sessions in agility and obedience, and led workshops focused on shy dogs and puppy obedience. His 3 years there earned him enough training hours and experience to earn his CPDT-KA certification.
After moving to Bucks County in 2017, John led private training for families in the local area. He finds his job most rewarding when clients have that “Ah-ha” moment during training, and he can help them build a stronger connection with their dog. His goal is to help families have a better understanding of their dog through learning the basics first, and building through positive reinforcement.
He joined Best Paw Forward as a Trainer in July of 2020, and he will be doing both private sessions and group classes.
John lives in Doylestown with his wife, their dog Ruby and four cats – Penny, Buzzy, and kitten siblings Olive and Owen.
